Accelerated Training for Illinois Manufacturing Regional Program
The Metro Suburban Region applied for and was awarded an Accelerated Training for Illinois Manufacturing (ATIM) grant on behalf of a regional partnership representing DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties. Members of the partnership serve the regional area and include Workforce Investment Boards and respective local WIA Programs/IllinoisworkNet Centers, economic development organizations, industry associations, and a core group of manufacturers.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to identify organizations interested in providing training as part of the region’s ATIM Program. The program will focus on providing employers with qualified CNC Operators, Welders, Mechanical Engineering Technicians, Industrial Machinery Mechanics, Machinists, and Electronic Repairers/Robotics Technicians. The region’s program will train approximately 170 individuals during the period of August 2013 to March 2015.
Qualified organizations that submit proposals demonstrating that they can deliver training in accordance with program requirements at a competitive cost will be eligible to provide ATIM training. Organizations do not have to be located in the region. A copy of the RFP is available at http://www.lakecountyjobcenter.com/Pages/default.aspx .
