KCDEE provides progressive services to help individuals re-enter the job market. We do this by
- Identifying goals - KCDEE staff work with you to identify your skills and career goals.
- Plan Success - We assess those skills to help you develop a plan to ensure success.
- Maintain Employment - We offer tools to secure and maintain employment.
Take charge of your SUCCESS
Today you can become part of the national workforce system established to help our nation's businesses meet their employment needs and job seekers who wish to further their careers.
If you are at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States, you may qualify for our services.
- Were you laid off or terminated due to a plant closure or mass layoff?
- Are you having difficulty finding a job in your previous occupation or industry?
- Do you need to seek employment outside of the home?
- Would improved job skills allow you a step up to better wages?
Three levels of service help you meet your employment goals.
Our Core Services provide basic assistance you may need to help you polish your resume, work on your interviewing skills, learn new job search skills, obtain information on the labor market, information on supportive services and referrals, and apply for financial assistance with other partners, if needed.
You may need the next level or more Intensive Services that include Career Planning, comprehensive assessments, group and individual counseling, and more advanced job search assistance.
Job opportunities may be enhanced by obtaining new skills. While Training Services may not be right for everyone, we have available a variety of options including, Occupational Skills Training, On-the-Job Training, Skill Upgrading and Re-training, Job Readiness Training, and Employer Customized Training.

Are you ready for SUCCESS?
If your answer is YES, we have the answers. Visit the Career Resource Center in an one-stop near you (see locations)and a Specialist will guide you on your path to success. Or you may select the documents that follow, print them out, fill them in and bring them to the center with you.
Attend an information session where we explain the Steps to Successful Career Opportunities. We will collect some basic information about your work history and family information, and ask you some questions about your career plans.
Get ready, your journey to SUCCESS is about to begin.
Application Packet
The packet contains the following: (click on the following document to obtain a copy of the document to print) The documents are in a format that requires Adobe Acrobat reader.
Basic Adult Application – you must fill in all the white spaces, sign and date the application
Once all information has been compiled and accurately completed, return the packet to a KCDEE Career Resource Specialist. Your completed packet will be reviewed and we will discuss and arrange your next activity with you.

- Short-term and Pre-vocational Services
- Out-of-area Job Search Assistance
- Basic Workforce Readiness Literacy Activities
Training Services (for those who meet intensive services eligibility but have been unable to find employment through those services):
